Letters from the Front

e32018logo610a

E3 2018 as it stands right now, in the present, is something that I am deeply excited for. For the first time in perhaps forever, this E3 could be one of the biggest E3’s yet because of the sheer amount of games that will be there, ready to be shown off to the world as the fall approaches. From the next Battlefield to Cyberpunk 2077 being shown on-stage at Microsoft’s conference ( if rumors to be believed.) , it stands to see that E3 2018 will be one of the biggest and one of the most memorable E3’s.

Coverage Plans

I’ll be at E3 this year, much like last year, hopefully getting my hands on as many games as I can get before the event finishes and we’ll have to wait another year. You can expect plenty of written stuff on the site ( if I find the time.) and plenty of reviews of the conference and first hands on impressions with games like Battlefield 2018 and Anthem , please stick around. A schedule will be up tomorrow with press conference times as well.

Extracurricular Activites

There are a number of events going around E3 outside of the press conferences. I have decided to put them here:

  • Inside Xbox: Monday, June 11th
  • Xbox Fanfest: If you’re in LA around June 10th and June 11th, Fanfest is Xbox’s PSX and you’ll be able to get hands on with the latest Xbox games.
  • EA Play 2018: This belongs in the press conferences and I’ll be there to get hands on with Battlefield 2018 and Anthem, alongside many other games if EA allows me. It is open to everyone.
  • Nintendo Treehouse and Tournaments: Usually at E3, Nintendo makes an appearance at their treehouse events and holds tournaments for all of their games. One will be the new Super Smash Bros and the Splatoon 2 World Championship.

The Big Games that Will Be Shown

In the last couple weeks, there have been major announcements for the biggest games of the fall which will make an appearance at E3. These have been confirmed and will be shown.

  • Battlefield 2018 ( Reveal on May 23rd.)
  • Anthem
  • FIFA 19
  • Madden NFL 19
  • Anthem
  • Super Smash Bros
  • Tom Clancy’s The Division 2
  • Skull & Bones
  • Call of Duty: Black Ops IV
  • Spider-Man
  • Ghost of Tsushima
  • Death Stranding
  • The Last of Us PART II
  • RAGE 2

Rumored Games

It wouldn’t be the leadup to E3 if there wasn’t any leaks or rumors floating around the internet, there has been plenty of rumors about these games being shown. These have the strongest evidence.

  • Cyberpunk 2077
  • Crackdown 3
  • Splinter Cell
  • Gears 5
  • Halo 6
  • Just Cause 4
  • Mortal Kombat 11
  • Red Dead Redemption II
  • Assassin’s Creed 2019
  • Starfield

Come back tomorrow for the E3 2018 schedule.
